Ahhh it’s been so long since I’ve done gesture drawing, it is FUN also cat. (5 min poses and Lucy is sitting on 2 min poses)
Doodled a quick self-portrait while cleaning storyboards. Hello 2014! Hair’s different but my brain’s the same.
Orange is the New Black is so good, I am only two episodes in and it’s like, women!! INCREDIBLE WOMEN!! (IN PRISON!!)
Also Dascha Polanco is really pretty, wow.
Ok yes! Is that you, Marsh?
…Jonny Lee Miller is a very large cat.
Doodle break at work while listening Q.U.E.E.N. I didn’t look up reference so it’s kind of Janelle Monae? Ish? Maybe?
One minute and some seconds is a reeeally short time, so Brianne and Ben had to do some actual (editing) magic when it came time to put the Amethyst: Princess of Gemworld animatics and final shorts together. Here is a shot from the end of the seventh short that was cut for time. Fans of the original comic might be able to take a guess at who those badly-drawn backs belong to…
I grabbed some letraset markers before leaving for Seattle and yesterday I had waaaay too much fun drawing ~*~*animu Adventure Time*~*~ at Sakura-Con.
If I draw more today I will probably post them on Instagram (@jab123). I am selling these and other sketch cards for $10 this weekend, so if you want ‘em come and get ‘em!
Right now I’m gonna get some Biscuit B**ch before the hall opens. :9
I’ll be in the Artist Alley at Sakura-Con this weekend! Work’s been kicking my butt and I just got over a nasty sinus infection (still chasing the last of it out, to be honest), but I’m excited to visit Seattle again. I’ll be tabling with some friends—no new stuff to show (see work, sinus infection), but I’ll have some old postcard prints and I’ll probably take a few sketch commissions if anybody wants one. Come say hi!
Artist Alley Tables 200, 202, and 204!
The above was going to be the freshmen team visiting the Space Needle… but work, sinus infection… :’)
Two of these things are not like the others…
Here are some of the sketch covers I did at #ECCC! Thanks to everyone who stopped by, thank you to all the amazing professionals and awesome artists who put up with my questionable conversational skills and croaky singing voice, and thank you to BOOM! Studios for having me! Seattle is a super cool city and I was happy to visit it again.
I may be late on this but has anyone else noticed the female bands/female fronted bands homages Marceline and The Scream Queens covers make?
:D It was Marceline/AT comics editor Shannon's idea and I just about flipped some tables when she sent me a list of suggested covers. (Meredith did the Blondie SDCC exclusive cover, which is totally one of my favorites!)
Stress-relief doodle. Animu? Animu!
I saw some really neat fanart of Ralph with a portal gun, and then I guess this happened?
I’m pretty sure GLaDOS would be missing the “dangerous, mute lunatic” immediately.
