I do storyboards for animation and make weird faces
SDCC Shenanigans:
If I’m in the area, I’ll be attending the Justice League: Flashpoint Paradox premiere on Friday at 7:30pm. Directed by Jay Oliva and executed by a lot of awesome colleagues and friends of mine, it boasts a truly ridiculous voice cast (Nathan Fillion! Ron Perlman! Michael B. Jordan!!!) and animation by Studio 4C. It is a crazy spectacle of a superhero movie.
I’ll be doing Adventure Time sketch covers at the Kaboom! booth all day on Saturday and Sunday…
…though I may try to take an early break on Saturday to ninja over to the Young Justice Unofficial Reunion behind the convention center at 11AM.
I probably won’t be able to get away from the booth on Sunday, but the Beware the Batman Screening and Q&A is at 1pm. Producer and cool dude Glen Murakami will be there, along with a lot of other awesome people behind the show.
Besides those things I will probably be buying books, eating, and dealing poorly with the massive amounts of people everywhere forever oh god. Please feel free to say hi! (Maybe give me a gentle pat on the head if I’m huddled in a corner breathing into a paper bag. Or a whisky. Whisky > physical contact. Actually don’t pat me on the head, I’ll react badly. Whisky or a friendly smile, please.)
Have a great weekend!
SDCC

Whoa whoa how is it SDCC time already?! Are you guys ready?! (I’m not!!)

I will be at the BOOM! Studios booth on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning drawing custom sketch covers alongside Shelli, Braden, and Mike Holmes (!!). (I sketched the above cover at ECCC—man was I happy to get to draw Ricardio.) I’ll also be signing with a big ol’ party of Adventure Time and Marceline and the Scream Queens comic book artists on Saturday from 5pm to 6pm. For more Adventure Time and Scream Queens SDCC funtimes, check out the BOOM!Pen SDCC post.

The DC Nation panel is on Sunday at 1pm. I thiiink the focus is going to be primarily on upcoming shows Teen Titans Go! and Beware the Batman, but there will also be sizzle reels for Green Lantern, Young Justice, and the next wave of DC Nation shorts. I think the YJ reel might make fans do backflips. As for the shorts, I am looking forward to catching a glimpse of a certain gemstone-themed magical girl…

If I’m not at the BOOM! booth or attending a panel, I’ll be wandering around spending my money on books, prints, and food I can’t eat.¬†Or sleeping curled up in a nice, quiet corner. Mmm, sleep.

I hope everyone has a safe and fabulous weekend!
